What You Learned in this Course

If a student is not displaying appropriate or expected behaviors, they are communicating with you that something is not right. This behavior could mean that the material is too low or too high, that they do not know exactly what is expected, or that they are being distracted by something.

It’s not them. It’s you.

As an educator, to better address behavior, we have to be proactive in establishing guidelines and in choosing appropriate materials. We also have to be observant to understand the message that the behavior intends.
